Running a publishing business is still brutally manual

Tools exist. Courses exist. But nobody has given publishers a system that actually runs the operation.

You're the operating system right now. Every research decision, every production step, every launch task - it lives in your head. The moment you're not working, the business isn't either.

You have tools. You don't have a system. Publisher Rocket finds keywords. Canva makes covers. ChatGPT writes copy. You still glue it all together manually, every single time, for every single title.

You can't scale what's stuck in your head. Going from 5 titles to 50 isn't a workflow problem - it's a systems problem. And no amount of hustle or new tools will solve a missing operating system.

You bought the course. You learned the tools. You're still doing $20/hour work. Researching niches. Filling spreadsheets. Chasing production steps. Writing launch checklists. If you're doing all of this yourself, you're not running a business - you're doing a job.

Every competitor sells something you operate yourself.
We built a publishing company that operates for you.

Not another tool. A company that runs your operation.

TomeOS is a five-division AI publishing operation - research, production, marketing, QC, and institutional learning running in parallel. Every SOP embedded. Every registry structured. Every workflow documented. Configure it once. It runs your operation from there.

Five Agent Divisions, Running in Parallel

Research Agent

Identifies high-opportunity niches, validates demand, surfaces competitive gaps, and scores new title concepts before a word is written.

Production Agent

Manages the title pipeline from concept to published - tracking milestones, coordinating assets, and flagging blockers before they become delays.

Marketing Agent

Executes platform-specific launch plans, builds social content queues, runs pre-launch and post-launch campaigns across KDP, TikTok, and Instagram.

QC Agent

Performs independent quality control across research, production, and marketing work - flags issues before they hit the platform, not after.

Lessons Learned

Captures what worked, what didn't, and what to do differently - building institutional knowledge that makes every subsequent title faster and sharper.

What’s in Your Workspace

17 Embedded SOPs

Proven standard operating procedures - pre-wired into the agent workflow, not a PDF you'll forget to follow.

ISBN Registry

Structured ISBN inventory system - assign, track, and audit across formats without manual spreadsheets.

Operations Dashboard

Live web dashboard for decisions, pipeline state, and operations - hosted and managed for you, always on, no server setup required.

Title Pipeline Registry

Central tracking for every title across every stage - research, production, marketing, live - in one place.

Publisher Config System

Single configuration file drives your imprints, platforms, affiliate tracking, and tool integrations. Fill once. Runs everything.

KDP + IngramSpark Ready

Platform-specific SOPs, checklists, and agent workflows for both KDP and IngramSpark built in from day one.

Marketing Playbooks

Pre-built campaign templates for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube - including affiliate tracking by channel.

You Own Your Outputs. Forever.

No vendor lock-in. Your books, catalog, data, and registries - permanently yours whether you're subscribed or not. Cancel anytime, keep everything you've built.

Configure this weekend.
Run it on Monday.

TomeOS is designed to go from signup to operational in a single focused afternoon - no servers, no development, no months of configuration.

1

Get Your Workspace

Your TomeOS workspace is provisioned the moment you join. Agent definitions, 17 embedded SOPs, registries, and your live operations dashboard are pre-loaded - everything in the right place from the start, no setup required.

/skills → AI agent definitions
/publishing → 17 SOPs
/registries → ISBN + title pipeline
/dashboard → ops dashboard
2

Configure for Your Operation

Fill in one central configuration file: your imprint names, platforms, affiliate tracking IDs, and dashboard settings. One file drives the whole system. Populate your ISBN registry and set your imprint brand standards.

publisher-config.json
↳ imprints, platforms, tools
↳ affiliate tracking by channel
↳ dashboard preferences + notification settings
3

Run Your Publishing Business

Your agent team is live. Route research tasks to the Research Agent, track production milestones, run launch campaigns through the Marketing Agent, and let QC flag issues before they ship. You make decisions. Agents do the operational work.

Research → Production → QC
→ Marketing → Publish → Learn
Every title. Every time. On loop.

“We don’t automate your creativity. We eliminate everything that was standing in its way.”

“Any system can generate content. Only you can make it worth reading.”

Why an Agent Team Changes the Math

The case for infrastructure over hustle

Three arguments for why an operating system outperforms individual effort over time.

The Consistency Argument

“An agent team delivers the same quality on your 40th title as on your first.”

The Compounding Returns Argument

“Every system improvement compounds - each title benefits from every lesson learned before it.”

The Identity Preservation Argument

“TomeOS does not write your books. It handles everything that was preventing you from writing them.”

We didn't sell this before we used it.
We built it because we needed it.

We didn't build TomeOS to sell a concept. We built it to run a publishing operation - our own. Multiple imprints, 25 published titles, a live and growing catalog. Every SOP exists because we needed it. Every agent is configured because we got tired of doing that work manually.

"A reader can tell the difference between a book that was made and one that was written. We're on the side of written."

You're not the test case. You're the beneficiary of an operating system that's already running a real catalog.

17 SOPs documented and embedded in the workflow
5 Agent divisions running in parallel
2 Major platforms supported out of the box
Titles you can run through it - no seat fees, no per-book charges

Two types of publisher.
One operating system.

Greenfield

You're starting a publishing business from scratch

  • You want to build something real - a catalog, a business - not just publish one book
  • You don't want to spend 18 months figuring out workflows that already exist
  • You're comfortable with technology and willing to learn a modern toolset
  • You want the infrastructure of a serious operation from day one, not bolted on later
  • You want your first title in production before competitors have finished their onboarding course
Conversion

You're an established publisher going agentic

  • You've built a real catalog but your processes are scattered across docs, emails, and your head
  • You're spending too much time managing workflow and not enough time making publishing decisions
  • You want to scale your catalog without scaling your workload proportionally
  • Your operations are already solid - you need the agent layer to execute them, not replace them
  • You want to stop doing $20/hour operational work and start running a $200k/year publishing operation

Not for you: if you want someone else to write, design, or publish your books. TomeOS is an operations system - you make the editorial calls, agents handle the operational work. The publisher's judgment is not optional. The publisher's manual labor is.

Common questions

You don't need to be a developer. TomeOS is fully hosted - no server setup, no command line required. You'll configure your publishing settings (imprint names, platforms, ISBN registry) through a guided setup flow. If you're comfortable filling in a form and following written instructions, you can handle this. Enterprise tier includes hands-on onboarding if you want a guided session.
OpenClaw is the AI agent runtime that powers TomeOS's agent team. It's the infrastructure layer that lets agents execute SOPs, access your registries, and coordinate your publishing workflow. We host and manage OpenClaw entirely - you don't install it, configure it, or maintain it. Think of it like the engine under the hood: you publish, it runs.
No. TomeOS is fully hosted by Officina Systems. Your workspace is provisioned automatically when you join. You access your agent team and operations dashboard through a browser on any device - no server setup, no VPS, no command line required. The only infrastructure we ask of you is a browser and an internet connection.
Beyond your TomeOS subscription, you'll need: a KDP account (free) and any design tools you already use for covers and interiors. AI model usage is included in your subscription through your monthly agent turn allocation - no separate API account or cost. TomeOS integrates with tools you're likely already using - it doesn't require an expensive new software stack.
A focused afternoon. Your workspace is pre-provisioned - no server setup required. Configuring your operation (imprints, platforms, affiliate IDs, ISBN registry) takes 2-3 hours for most publishers. Enterprise customers get a guided onboarding session that typically completes in a single half-day. Start Saturday morning, run your first research task Saturday afternoon.
TomeOS is a monthly subscription. You get full access to the agent team, all SOPs, registries, and ongoing updates for as long as you're subscribed. AI model usage is included within your tier's monthly turn allocation - no separate API cost. Cancel anytime - you keep all the work and outputs your agents have produced. Your data is held for 90 days after cancellation, and reactivation restores your workspace exactly where you left off.
No. The kit is designed to layer onto your existing operation, not replace it. You configure it to reflect your current imprints, platforms, and tools. The SOPs are written to match how established publishers actually operate - not to force you into someone else's process. If you have SOPs or workflows that differ, you can modify the SOP files directly. Enterprise tier includes migration support to map your existing catalog into the registries.
No - and that's intentional. TomeOS is a publishing operations system, not a content generation tool. The Research Agent helps you identify what to publish and why. The Production Agent manages the pipeline once a title is in production. Content creation - writing, cover design, interior formatting - uses whatever tools you already use (or tools the agents can coordinate with). This is the business layer, not the content layer.
Yes. Monthly plans can be paused for up to 3 months per year. Billing freezes at the end of your current period; service resumes (or you can cancel) when the pause ends. Your rate is fully preserved through any pause — it never resets. After 3 months the plan auto-reactivates unless you cancel. Annual subscribers are not eligible for mid-year pause but may cancel at renewal.

Stop being the operating system
of your own business.

Every week you run your publishing operation manually is a week the catalog falls behind. The agents are ready. The SOPs are embedded. The infrastructure is running. The only thing missing is you deciding to use it.
